Arsenic and Old Lace
Finding out we were going to be watching a black and white movie on the first day was not how i wanted to start off my day back. I wasn't really looking forward to watching this movie but it turned out to be pretty good. The beginning was kinda boring to me so I didn't pay much attention and when it got started I got interested. Finding out that the aunts Abby and Martha were murderers was a shock to me. I never would have expected them to kill anyone but they did it with good intentions. They were smart about it and had compassion for them so it didn't seem like a bad thing. I thought Jonathan was a very strange character and Dr. Einstein was creepy too. All the irony in this movie made it so hard to predict I never knew what was going to happen next. Overall I liked the movie and it makes me want to watch more black and white movies. I actually wouldn't mind watching another one in class sometime.

I agree i wasnt looking forward to this movie either, but after watching it, it wasnt as bad as i thought, it was actually pretty funny
ReplyDeleteThis movie surprised me as well Stacey. When I first saw the movie start I already had a pessimistic outlook. After watching the movie I changed my mind on my outlook of black and white movies. I am always open to trying new ideas and I am glad I was fortunate enough to watch Arsenic and Old Lace. I have a new respect for older movies and fully enjoyed the sarcastic comedic plot behind this one.
